Hiking Trails

Hiking Trails and walking paths in Ridgefield are widely popular. Ridgefield has over 5200 acres of open space! Plus hiking tails of all degrees of difficulty. The trails range from 0.1 to 8.1 miles in length. The most popular trail is Bennett’s Pond and Seth Low Pierrepont State Park Reserve. There is also the very popular "Rail Trail", which is a flat pathway that follows an old rail corridor for 2.3 miles from downtown Ridgefield to the Branchville section of town.
